Weight of Cattle

• On the hoof   =   1,200 to 1,800 pounds.
• Dressed   =   780 to 1,080 pounds.
• A side of dressed beef weighs from 400 to 550 pounds.

 Prices

• On the hoof   =   $1.49 per pound processed and ready to eat.
• Whole dressed beef   =   $2.59 per pound processed and ready to eat.
• One half dressed beef   =   $2.79 per pound processed and ready to eat.

 Deposits

• A check for $100 is due when we take your beef to the processor.
• A check for the balance is due when your beef is ready.
